Star Man Rules
Below are the ways players can score, and lose, points in the Star Man competition
Appearances | Every player gets 3 points if he starts the match and 1 point if he comes off the bench. League and cup games only. Friendlies not included |
Goals | Players get 5 points for each goal. Bonus 5 points for a hat trick (3 or more goals) |
Assists | Players get 2 points for every assist |
Clean Sheets | 8 points for goalkeepers and defenders, 2 points for midfielders. For cup games clean sheets count for 90 mins |
Own Goals | Players receive -5 points for every own goal |
Penalty Saves | Goalkeeper gets 5 points if the penalty taker fails to score directly from the spot. He still gets the points if the taker scores from the rebound |
Penalty Miss | Players receive -5 points if they fail to score directly from the penalty spot. He still loses the points even if he scores the rebound |
Yellow Cards | Players receive -2 points for every yellow card |
Red Cards | Players receive -5 points for every red card. 2 yellow cards in 1 match = total -5 points. A yellow AND a straight red = -7 points |
Man of the Match | Players receive 8 points for Man Of The Match |
Mong of the Match | Players receive - 3 points for Mong Of The Match |
Not paying subs | Players receive -3 points if they fail to pay their subs on a matchday |
